Ray Proctor’s term of office came to an end on 30 April 2008 and the Committee agreed to his re-appointment for a further 3 year term due to end on 30 April 2011. Ray was the former finance director for British Coal.

The Scheme currently invests in a range of asset classes including UK and overseas equities and in times of economic stress and volatility it is inevitable that the value of these will fluctuate. Therefore the Scheme is not immune to the effects of the wider economic climate.
