We are very pleased to publish our TCFD Report for 2024.
As a global investor, the Trustee is committed to responsible investment. Climate change is a key area of focus for the Trustee because of the potential for climate-related risks and opportunities to impact on the value of our assets. Our TCFD report explains the governance and risk management structures that we have in place to allow us to identify and oversee material climate-related risks and opportunities that could affect our investment strategy. It also shows the possible impact of different climate change scenarios on our assets and, as best we can based on available data, the carbon emissions across our portfolio.
We are required to produce this report in line with the requirements of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and will produce a TCFD report annually from now on. This will help us and our members to understand and monitor our progress in integrating climate change into our investment decision-making. British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme (the “Scheme”) has been a long-term signatory to the UK Stewardship Code. The stewardship report sets out how Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme Trustees Limited has ensured the Scheme has fulfilled its stewardship responsibilities through 2023, and the outcomes of this activity.
